The Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau (OCVB) is turning Omaha into a living map, pinpointing Omaha’s most noted landmarks with Giant Pins. As one of Omaha’s top attractions, Boys Town’s Giant Pin marks the spot.
Boys Town’s Giant Pin, located at 132nd and West Dodge Road, helps Omaha visitors find their way to Father Flanagan’s historic village. The Giant Pins are also displayed on specially designed maps and promotional materials available at Omaha hotels, attractions, the airport and at the Omaha Visitor Information Center at 10th and Farnam Streets.
“This project makes it easy for hotels and tourism ambassadors to point visitors in the right direction,” said Dana Markel, OCVB Executive Director. “It also makes it easy for visitors to find these locations. All they have to do is look for the 9ft. tall blue map pins.”
The Giant Pins, including the one at Boys Town, will remain up through the summer of 2009. Visit the Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau online at www.visitomaha.com.
