Boys Town National Hotline, a toll-free crisis hotline and resource referral service, is the only national hotline accredited by the American Association of Suicidology and the Council on Accreditation of Services for Family and Children, Inc. Trained counselors assist callers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, completing every call either by resolving the problem or making a referral. Services include Spanish language assistance and a TTY line (800.448.1833) for speech-impaired, deaf or hard-of-hearing callers. Opening in 1989, the hotline has assisted more than seven million people nationwide.
