Alternative to Incarceration

With nearly 90 years of research-based and proven effective programs, Boys Town provides rehabilitation as one of the most cost-effective alternatives to incarceration.

Currently, within our System of Care, we serve over 550 youth, ages 10 through 17, daily.  Our Programs range from a 24-hour locked intensive residential treatment center to family-style residential care homes.  The Type of Youth Served at Boys Town, ranges from authority issue to criminal activity.  Juveniles come to us with a multitude of Referral Behaviors and their needs are met individually through the implementation of Boys Town's model of care. 

According to our Five-Year Follow-Up Study, our former youth are proven to have become good citizens.  In other words, we help kids by taking them out of juvenile detention centers and putting them into a community that cares about their success in life.

Boys Town is accredited by The Joint Commission and the Council on Accreditation (COA).  America's Promise Alliance selected Boys Town as one of the 100 Best Communities For Young People.
